The function of the doctor's assistant

The doctor's assistant fulfils a versatile and medically substantive role within our practice. Besides giving (telephone) advice, making appointments and passing on results, our assistants also perform medical procedures during their own consulting hours.

What can you turn to them for?

• Advice, repeat prescriptions and results;
• Pap smears, blood sampling, injections and ear spraying;
• Taking cardiac ultrasound (ECG), removal of sutures and blood pressure measurements;
• Wart sticking and wound care.

Like the GP, the assistant works with consulting hours. You can make an appointment for the assistant's consultation hour by contacting the practice.
